Recent Beaching of 13-15 with SLARS waiting

The standard way of launching our Shanon is from the SLARS. On recovery the 13-15 'beaches' and is then hauled onto the SLARS cradle - rotated 180 degress and pushed back into the boat house ready for the next launch.

Mikron Theatre Visits Scarborough Lifeboat

Mikron are a charity theatre group. In 2016 they brought their fundraising drama to Scarborough Lifeboat Station.

Andrew McGeown

This video tells the events of a stormy night in February 2015. Andrew tragically drowned after entering the water to try and safe his dog. The volunteer crew of the ILB launched but were unable to save Andrew. They received medals for the bravery. Subsequently, working with the RNLI, Andrew's family set up the Andrew McGeown Legacy Trust to raise money to promote water safety in the Borough of Scarborough.
